The Volos Academy for Theological Studies and its conference “Church and Culture” are featured in the well-known French periodical ISTINA

The well-known periodical “Istina” has dedicated an entire issue (No. 1, January-March 2010) to the International Conference on “Church and Culture” of the Volos Academy for Theological Studies, which took place in Volos on May 7-10, 2009. More specifically, it has published a French translation of seven texts by Greek Orthodox theologians (Metropolitan Alexander of Nigeria, Rev Dr Lampros Kamperidis, Rev Dr Dimitrios Bathrellos, Dr Niki Papageorgiou, Dr Chrysostomos Stamoulis, Dr Dimitrios Moschos, and Dr Pantelis Kalaïtzidis), in order to provide a glimpse into the discussion in Greece today regarding the relationship between the Church and culture, the Church and the world, the Church and local traditions, and the Church and mission.
All the texts from the conference will be published shortly in Greek by “Indiktos” publishing; an English translation of the texts in question is also being prepared.
